What is a doula, anyway?

A doula is a trained birth professional, who provides evidence-based child birth and pregnancy information in the prenatal period. Educated and connected with community resources, a doula will provide all the information you need to prepare for the birth experience you desire. A doula will come along side you, during labor and provide continuous support, physically and emotionally through child birth and in the hours after delivery.

Let us tune in to the ROOT of birth.

Let us connect to our womb space

Let us embrace the sisterhood of birthing

Let us BLOOM into Motherhood

Research shows, women who use a birth doula are:

  • Less likely to need Pitocin

  • less likely to have a cesarean birth

  • Less likely to use any pain medication

  • More likely to rate their birth experience positively
